in the book include mambo, samba, cha-cha-chá, bossa
nova, bembé, partido alto, songo, baião, bolero,
merengue, mozambique, rhumba, and afoxé. The styles
are organized according to their origin - Cuban and Salsa styles
are found in the first section;
Brazilian styles are found in the second. There is also a section
for bass and chordal instruments in order to give the entire
rhythm section the cohesiveness that a good understanding of
